I’m sure that no one is surprised by the latest in the Mike Tyson drama that seems to never end. Tyson had a run-in with a photographer at the Los Angeles International Airport, and the bad part is it could possibly send him to jail if it violates his probation. As you may remember he had a drug case in Arizona about two years ago.
We put a call into the Maricopa County probation office and although the individual refused to give there name they did tell us that the probation official’s office will start court proceedings to determine if Tyson did or didn’t violate his parole.
Both Tyson and the photographer Tony Echeverria both claimed they were struck Wednesday during an altercation. Reports say that only the photographer was treated for minor injuries. One report said the photographer suffered from a small cut to the forehead.
Both men were booked by airport police on suspicion of a misdemeanor battery and then released. The future of both men is up to the city attorney, to decide whether to file charges or not.
Most Mike Tyson fans will remember that the former heavyweight champ is currently on probation after he pleaded guilty to a cocaine possession and driving under the influence charge, two years ago in Arizona.
I am no longer surprised that we have Jackin4Beats readers everywhere. I first got the news of Tysons problems via text message from one of our readers who was on the scene. The text simply said, “Tyson and some other dude where arrested at LAX airport and Tyson was calm and corporative with airport police.” The next text that came in stated that the airport police had let Tyson go after questioning for a few minutes.
According to Tammy Brook, Tyson’s spokeswoman, the former heavyweight champ was traveling with his wife and 10 month old baby when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzi.
Mrs. Brooks went on to say that Mike was just acting in self defense as any father protecting his child would.
The airport police confiscated the photographers camera and booked it into evidence. They are also searching for any surveillance video that may have captured what really happened.
I can certainly understand that the paparazzi’s have a job to do. I also understand that they have their rights, and all of that. However the question that I place before you is this… When is to much to much… Where is the line in the sand that the paparazzi’s shouldn’t cross. Personally I think that some paparazzi’s take things a little to far!
