Each year people visit Glastonbury from all four corners of the world to experience the greatest festival on earth. This award wining festival has many top artists performing as well as other attractions that will please everyone. The festival grows in appeal and attraction each year and you will find that Glastonbury 2010 is to be no exception and is rumoured to be the best one in history.

Glastonbury has an extra special anniversary coming up this year as it will be celebrating its 40th. Only the best festivals will have been going this long and continue to be successful each year. The media have rumoured after a comment made by the lead singer that Pulp will be reforming in time for the festivities to start.

There are many artists that have made their fame here and return to the place that made them famous to perform, as well as this there are performances from bands that are going to be the next best thing. Imagine being one of the first people to see them before they make it in the charts and be able to see what they are like singing live unleashing their talent in front of such a large audience for the first time.

The tickets sell out within hours of them being on sale, this shows the popularity of the event which has left many camping outside the ticket offices all night so that they can have a place at this great event. Unfortunately the first lot of sold tickets have sold out, however there have been cancellations and these tickets will go out to those who missed out on the opportunity at the beginning of the year.

If you have ever been to a festival before you have never been to one as big and as varied as Glastonbury. They not only have one lot of entertainment, there are stages all around the location all with different kinds of music and other artists such as comedians and famous people giving talks on their lives and up and coming books, so even if the stage nearest to you is not your thing, you just have to walk down a little further and see what the next one has to offer.

The pyramid stage is the one that is the best known and where most people spend their time while at Glastonbury, this is because it stages the acts of the people who are best known, however the other areas have so much to offer too and you do not want to miss out on the attractions on the outskirts which many people do not find until later in the festival and are gutted that they only have a little time left to enjoy them.

It’s all about getting together with the people who have the same things as you in mind, not only an event for those who are in their teens and early twenties, whole families go and enjoy the experience, from tiny babies up to pensioners.

If you do not want to be at one with nature and want to visit but don’t want to camp out there are many other accommodation options, however you should make sure that you pre book as this is one of the busiest times of year so you will find that the places go pretty quick, just like the festival tickets.

Another option if you want something a bit more toned down and to suit every member of the family is to visit the cinema tent. There are viewings around the clock and the mornings are usually kept for family friendly films. Not only this, you will also be able to see the latest blockbusters in 3D which will keep everyone happy from the youngest, to the oldest fans.

Going to festivals is forever a great enjoyment. If you do not know this, going to festivals in other countries is much more enjoyable, so you may want to make sure that you are at Glastonbury 2010, so check out the Glastonbury Lineup.
